Let me first clear 3 things with you.
SWING ARM.
The rear part of the frame system that attaches the rear wheel to the frame.
LAY FRAME.
On a motorbike it means when the bike sits on its frame when parked. The actual bike frame is used as a stand when it is completely at rest.
LAY FRAME SWING ARM.
A Swing Arm specially made to lower the bike on to the frame when parked. (So bad ass...)
We are very excited to bring you a new product that’s been awhile in the making. It’s
our exclusive LAY FRAME SWING ARM. This swing arm, when fitted, and with
FURTHER MODIFICATIONS to your bike will lower the bike frame on to the
ground. It has been engineered to take your standard brakes and parts that normally
bolt onto the standard Swing Arm. A lot of care has been taken to keep the original
Harley frame look so the modification doesn’t look out of place and flows perfectly
with the lines of your Softail.
We have them for Evo’s, early Twin cam and late Twin cam model bikes.
Further Modifications Include:
- Re-doing rear fender to sit lower
- Air ride suspension front and back
- Shorter fork tubes
- Front end brake kit
- Air Caps for front air ride
Those are the major things that need changing, there are other things to be done
but not listed. This is not a job for an inexperienced bike builder, a lot of mocking up
of the frame and parts have to be done to check clearances.
We supply the swing arms in a Matt black paint to prevent it from rusting. Once you
have finished test fitting and are no longer scratching the swing arm get it done in
the finish and colour you want.
Lay frame swing arms come in 3 models:
Evo – 1986 – 1999
Early Twin cam – 2000 – 2006
Late Twin Cam 2007 – 2017
M8 – In production
As you can see from the photos, the results are well worth doing the journey
and of course we are here to help and guide the process.
